Castbase

These are a starting template, not legal advice. Have a Malaysian lawyer review them before you operate this service commercially.

1. What Castbase is

Castbase is a listing and record-keeping platform. We introduce buyers and sellers and keep a record of what they agreed. We are not a party to any sale, we do not take possession of any item, and we do not process payments.

2. Payment and delivery

All transactions settle in cash directly between members, either in person or on courier delivery. Castbase never holds funds and cannot reverse, refund, or guarantee a payment. Any dispute about payment or the condition of an item is between the two members.

3. Your responsibilities as a seller

Describe items accurately, including flaws. Own what you list. Do not list counterfeits, stolen goods, or anything you cannot legally sell. Honour the price you agreed.

4. Your responsibilities as a buyer

Inspect before you pay. Turn up when you say you will. Do not use the platform to arrange anything other than the trade described in the listing.

5. Safety

Meet in public places. Never send a deposit ahead of a meetup. Castbase does not vet members beyond a verified email address, and a rating history is evidence, not a guarantee.

6. Valuations

Market values shown on Castbase are statistical estimates derived from completed sales between members. They are not appraisals, not investment advice, and not a promise that anything will sell at that price. Every figure carries a confidence rating; treat a low one as the guess it is.

7. Content you post

You keep ownership of your photos and text, and grant Castbase a licence to display them on the service. Do not post anything you do not have the right to post.

8. Suspension

We may suspend an account that misrepresents items, fails to honour agreed deals, manipulates market data by confirming sales that did not happen, or harasses other members.

9. Liability

Castbase is provided as is. To the extent permitted by Malaysian law, we are not liable for losses arising from transactions between members, from reliance on a valuation, or from service interruption.

10. Changes

We will post material changes to these terms on this page and note the date. Continuing to use Castbase after a change means you accept it.
